Why Engineering Matters in Commercial Electrical

Most electrical contractors estimate load requirements. We calculate them.

Bat holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Master Electrician license (E200). That means your panel schedules, wire sizing, conduit fill calculations, and voltage drop calculations are done with actual engineering—not rules of thumb.

  • NEC-compliant load calculations, not guesswork
  • Inspections engineered to pass the first time
  • Proper wire sizing and voltage drop calculations
  • Panel schedules designed for future expansion
  • No costly rework or failed inspections

Our Commercial Process

Straightforward. No surprises. Every step is communicated before we move forward.

Bid Review

Send us your plans, scope of work, or just a description of what you need. We review everything and ask the right questions upfront so there are no surprises later.

Site Assessment

We walk the space, evaluate existing electrical infrastructure, identify potential issues, and confirm the scope. If you don't have plans, we can design from a site visit.

Engineering & Design

Load calculations, panel schedules, circuit layouts, and material specifications. Everything is engineered to NEC 2023 code before a single wire is pulled.

Installation

Clean, professional installation coordinated with your schedule and other trades. We communicate daily on progress and flag anything that needs a decision before it becomes a problem.

Inspection & Handoff

We schedule the inspection, walk it with the inspector, and hand you a completed space with labeled panels, clean wiring, and documentation. Inspections pass the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Tenant improvements are a core part of our commercial work. We handle everything from demolition of existing electrical to full buildout—lighting, power, data, fire alarm interface—all permitted and inspected.

We review your plans, do a site walkthrough if needed, and provide a detailed written bid broken down by scope. No hidden line items. We can work from architectural plans, hand sketches, or walk the space with you and design it together.

That is the standard we hold ourselves to. With a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and thorough knowledge of NEC 2023, our work is engineered to pass inspection the first time. Proper engineering upfront means no surprises at rough-in or final.

We have completed 35+ projects across residential and commercial, including office buildouts and tenant improvements. Our owner holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Master Electrician license (E200), giving us the technical depth that most small electrical shops lack.

Absolutely. We regularly sub to GCs on commercial and TI projects. We show up on schedule, coordinate with other trades, keep our area clean, and communicate proactively. Our sister company Tono Build LLC also handles remodeling, so we understand the GC workflow from both sides.
